Welcome to my website.
Old Northwest Frontier Tours is now a collection of works done by Barbara Smits in writing, photography and artworks.
Our first web presence began in 1998 to highlight historical tours that we planned to conduct in the Old Northwest Territory. These tours never really developed in the way we anticipated, but I have kept the domain name alive and am now using it as a collective site for my other creative works which I have done for more than 40 years. Yes, I am OLD, and proud of it!
I am also a video producer, owning Associated Video in De Pere, and have produced several independent documentaries. "A Coming Together - Oneida White Corn Harvest" appeared on Wisconsin Public Television in 2009 and will continue to appear for the next four years. I also do video taping and editing through this business.
